The developers of The Vue condominium tower uptown say they've reached preconstruction sales goals and will break ground by the end of the year.   Hope McCampbell, marketing director of Churchill Development Group LLC, said the company instructed architect Forum Studio Inc. to begin working "full speed" on construction and permitting drawings.The 50-story, 403-unit tower is planned at Fifth and Pine streets in Fourth Ward.

McCampbell said Churchill doesn't disclose sales figures, but "we have exceeded expectations and are ahead of schedule."  Condos are priced from just under $200,000 to $4 million plus.

The high-rise complex, one of 11 announced or started uptown, is to be completed in 2008.
